Technical Foundation and SEO Strategy for Entering the US Market

About client

Hism Studio — a boutique architectural visualization studio with a premium portfolio. Target markets: USA, Canada, UAE, and Australia. The main audience consists of large developers and architectural firms.

Project goal

To create a roadmap for the studio’s entry into the international market through search channels. The main goal is to prepare the technical foundation of the site for scaling and to develop a strategy that converts portfolio views into direct inquiries from developers.

Tasks

Identify and classify errors that hinder ranking
Compare Hism's positions with market leaders in terms of trust (Trust Signals).
Fix the architecture of meta-data, adjust loading speed, and mobile responsiveness.
Develop a plan to obtain authoritative links from niche architectural resources.
Set up Schema.org and Open Graph to improve the site's representation in search results and social media.

How We Achieved the Result

Challenges

Despite the high artistic quality of the works, the website was practically “invisible” to search engines in the target regions. The number of keywords in Google US was only 33, and the domain authority (Domain Rank) was 0. The main barrier was the complete lack of backlink mass (0 backlinks) and critical technical errors that hindered the indexing of premium content.

1. Deep Technical Audit (Health Check)

We conducted a complete scan of 289 pages of the site. The main work focused on eliminating errors that “confused” search bots: missing H1 tags, duplicate Titles, and excessively large images that critically reduced the loading speed of the portfolio.

2. Strategic Positioning and Trust Signals

Competitor analysis showed that for the US market, the presence of physical trust markers is critically important. We proposed a strategic solution: to add blocks with awards, client logos, and clear contact information to the site. This helps mitigate risks for large developers when choosing a contractor.

3. Formation of Semantic Vector

We selected target high-frequency queries such as “luxury architecture firm USA” and “residential architecture studio Toronto”. It was determined that the main traffic growth should come not from general terms, but from combinations used by architects and investors when searching for partners for premium projects.

4. Promotion Roadmap

Instead of chaotic actions, we developed a step-by-step plan for 12 months. It included gradually building mass through Pinterest (as a visual search engine), Behance, and authoritative architectural directories. A separate point was the preparation for publications in specialized media such as ArchDaily and Dezeen.

Results

  • Complete technical update: all critical indexing errors have been resolved, and correct page display has been configured in Google Search Console.
  • Ready link-building strategy: an anchor list has been formed and platforms have been selected to obtain the first 10–15 quality backlinks.
  • Optimization of visual content: image compression standards have been implemented without quality loss, improving Core Web Vitals.
  • Forecast indicators: if the strategy is implemented, a Top-30 ranking for key queries is expected within the first 6 months.

Conclusions

For projects in the field of architectural visualization, the website is primarily a tool for confirming status. We managed to transform a “closed gallery” into an open platform for search engines. Correcting the technical foundation and implementing a trust strategy (Trust Signals) were key steps for Hism Studio to enter the global arena.
